If you love outdoor concerts and music, today is your day. World Music Day, or in its original French, Fête De La Musique, was created in 1982 by the Ministry of Culture in France. It envisioned impromptu and pop-up celebrations and concerts as well as hosted events. Over the decades, it has grown into a global event, celebrated on the first day of summer worldwide (or the first day of winter in the Southern Hemisphere).
